The Young Founders Programme 2024 in Germany is a prestigious fellowship program for exceptional young entrepreneurs from emerging markets. It’s run by the Westerwelle Foundation, which was established by Guido Westerwelle, a former German Foreign Minister, and focuses on empowering young leaders and promoting entrepreneurship in developing countries.

- YFP23 Program Duration: 5-day fully-funded conference in Berlin, Germany / 6-month remote program.
Eligibility:
The YFP is a highly competitive program, and only 25 fellows are selected each year. To be eligible, applicants must be:
- Between the ages of 25 and 35.
- Citizens of a country classified by the World Bank as “lower-middle income” or “upper-middle income”.
- Founders or co-founders of a startup that has been operating for at least one year.
- Fluent in English.
Benefits of Young Founders Programme 2024 in Germany:
- Two-day digital Kick-off conference.
- The top ten participants will be invited to attend a fully-funded international conference in Germany for 5 days.
- During the five-day conference, the participants will have the opportunity to pitch in front of investors, join networks, and get an insight into Germany’s start-up scene.
- Contacts with investors and corporates.
- Full support for six months which will includes a personal mentor, alumni buddy, peer mentoring sessions per month, monthly workshops, and networking opportunities.

- Candidates must have a startup pitch deck.
- Candidates have to provide correct and basic financial information regarding revenue and funding.
- Must have a LinkedIn profile and/or CV.
- Answer all the questions asked in the application very carefully and comprehensively so that they could be understood properly.

- The application deadline for the Spring 2024 cohort is 11 February 2024.
- Interviews with shortlisted candidates: 19 February – 8 March
- Notification of all applicants: 11 March
