A Fully Funded Summer Internship in Canada For International Students to Spend their Summer in Canadian Universities under the Supervisor. This is a 12 Week of Paid Internships in Canada For International Students. All expenses will be covered under this Internship Program. The Internship is available in more than 70 Universities in Canada.
The 12 Week Mitacs Summer Internship is consist of a variety of academic disciplines, from Science, Engineering, and Mathematics to the Humanities and Social Sciences.The Undergraduate, Master, and PhD Degree Students can apply. Both Male and Female Participants can apply. The Duration of the Internship is 12 weeks.

Overview of GRI cycle and important dates
| April to June 2022 | Faculty application: Faculty submit research projects to Mitacs. Project proposals are due June 8, 2022 by 1 p.m. PT for 2023 Globalink Research Internships. |
| July to August 2022 | Faculty application vetting: Projects are reviewed by Mitacs and decisions communicated to professors. All successful projects are made available to student applicants in an online database. |
| August to September 2022 | Student application: International students submit applications and select research projects from the online database. |
| October 2022 | Student application vetting: Mitacs conducts an eligibility review of student applications. |
| November 2022 to January 2023 | Matching: Mitacs provides professors with a shortlist of student candidates for their project. Professors are then asked to review student applications, conduct interviews and then rank the applicants in order of suitability. Mitacs collects student and professor rankings, then finalizes offers to students. Final results are announced in February. |
| February to April 2023 | Pre-internship preparation: Successful students start working with their Canadian host professors to arrange pre-internship details while Mitacs oversees logistics and coordinates with university administrative offices. |
| May to October 2023 | Internship: Globalink research interns arrive in Canada and work with supervising professors for 12 weeks on their research project. |

The Mitacs Globalink Summer Research Internship Receive:
- Round-trip Airfare to Canada (amount varies depending on country of origin)
- Transportation from Airport in Canada to accommodation
- Stipend for housing (amount varies depending on country of origin)
- Health insurance
- Stipend towards student enrollment fees up to a maximum of $300
- Stipend for food and incidentals (amount varies depending on country of origin)
- Support from student mentors on campus in Canada
- Registration for industry events and professional development courses
- Globalink Research Internship certificate of completion.
Eligibility Criteria of Mitacs Global Research
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Participants be from Australia, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Mexico, South Korea, Taiwan, Tunisia, Ukraine, United Kingdom and the United States.
- Be Enrolled in a Full-time Undergraduate or Combined Undergraduate/Master’s Program.
- Be available to complete a 12-week internship, arriving in Canada between May 1 and July 31, 2022.
- Possess a valid passport that is valid until at least January 2023
- An official transcript from the Home University, in English or French.
- At Least One Letter of Reference From a Professor or Research Supervisor
- A CV Detailing Research Experience
- Apply to a minimum of three, maximum of seven, projects and ensure selections are from at least three different Canadian provinces.
